 – Engineer checklist to reduce multiple site visits:

1.	Check that you have the correct part in the box before attending site.
2.	Phone ahead beforehand to make sure that the part/user/access are available.
3.	Check downtime has been arranged if attending a server or router call.
4.	Do not leave parts such as hard drives on site as we will incur an extra site visit where we have to re-attend to collect parts.
5.	Record Serial/Asset in/out on your updates and paperwork, failing this we may have to re-attend site to get this information.
6.	Read Tech Support/Vetter’s/Service Wish  updates and follow instructions given.
7.	Don’t assume that the equipment cannot be fixed If you have received incorrect/DOA/damaged part/s. In some cases the equipment can be fixed without parts or we could get the equipment operational be applying a temporary fix.
8.	Fully diagnose/fix the faulty equipment on the 1st visit and if parts are required then we order the correct parts to ensure the call is cleared on the 2nd visit. 
9.	Use part/s from loan equipment (contract calls only) to prevent a re-visit. Do not swap any part that has been user damaged or if the part is chargeable i.e. consumables such as printers trays, pickup rollers, fusers maintenance kits, print heads etc..but If in doubt please seek advice.
